I’m attending the California Conference for Women today. Unsurprisingly but still disappointingly, only about 1% of the attendees are men. The panel I’m watching is talking about how they as women executives need to help support other women into executive positions. But that’s not enough – men need to do their part to support women, to support people of color, to support people who don’t look like them to succeed.
If we only help those that look like us, we fall into homogenous groupthink and miss different perspectives that can help us innovate and serve people better.
