What are you willing to experience to advance towards your goals?
So much of what limits people in their careers is a fear of what will happen if they make a mistake. They fear that their reputation will be damaged, that people will no longer trust them, or that they will lose an opportunity as a result. But such fears center what happens to you.
I helped a client recently to connect with with their bigger purpose to help them set aside their ego-based fears. Their perspective on mistakes went from “proof that I messed up”, something that would define their reputation forever, to “one wrong step on the way to a greater goal”, a learning experience that would let them be more effective and impactful next time.
Progress comes from taking action and learning from what happens.
But the price of taking action is making mistakes.
Are you willing to pay that price to progress towards your goals?
