This 2024 LinkedIn Rewind, by Coauthor.studio, is not bad, but required a couple tweaks before posting and doesn’t really sound like me. I’m still skeptical about AI content generation but maybe I’m just an old curmudgeon that isn’t willing to learn new tools.

This 2024 LinkedIn Rewind, by Coauthor.studio, is not bad, but required a couple tweaks before posting and doesn’t really sound like me. I’m still skeptical about AI content generation but maybe I’m just an old curmudgeon that isn’t willing to learn new tools.

Hat tip to Jenn Steele for sharing hers to inspire me to experiment with something new.

At 50, I’ve learned that impact isn’t about working harder – it’s about making conscious choices that align with what matters most.

2024 brought this truth into sharp focus through three interconnected paths:

— Deepening my expertise through trauma-informed coaching certification, discovering how our earliest experiences shape our leadership patterns and choices
— Expanding into developing a class to reach leaders in new ways, while staying true to my core message about conscious leadership
— Watching my book’s impact spread as readers moved beyond pure effort to meaningful change

Three posts that captured crucial insights:

“Be grateful for your life. Pay it forward. Connect with courage and vulnerability.”
Reflections on turning 50 and the leadership principles that emerge from decades of practice

“Several readers have reached out to share how reading the book helped them significantly change their own lives.”
Celebrating my book’s first anniversary and seeing how conscious choice creates ripple effects

“They focus on getting the problem solved, not on solving the problem themselves. It’s about delivering results, not about them.”
Key differentiators I’ve observed in successful executives

What 2024 reinforced: Our greatest impact comes not from working harder, but from making conscious choices about where to direct our energy. Sometimes that means slowing down to be more present. Sometimes it means expanding into uncomfortable new territory. Always it means staying aligned with what matters most.

Moving into 2025, I’m focused on integrating trauma-informed coaching principles with executive leadership development. Because when leaders understand how their past shapes their choices, they can create more meaningful impact for themselves and others.

To everyone working to move beyond pure effort to conscious impact: You have more choices than you think.
