I take organizations from here to there.
I’ve been talking to several clients about how to describe what they do, and what’s been resonating is describing the journey they can lead for an organization.
A few examples from recent conversations:
— I take a startup from Series A to Series B, putting in place the process and operations scaffolding to allow them to grow quickly.
— I take an engineering org from chaos to stability, hiring key leaders and coaching them to develop a more sustainable rhythm.
— I lead a product team to develop insights in a more repeatable and scalable way, rather than depending on luck and hope.
This clarity can be wonderful in a job search, because then it lets you quickly zero in on the organizations that need you (e.g. the first example above is looking for startups that just raised a Series A round) and align on what you can offer them (getting them to there). And once you’ve done it a couple times (or even once!), you have the credibility to keep getting hired to do it.
What’s the one sentence description of the transformation that you lead for others?
