I have coached dozens of successful executives over the last 5 years, and want to share a few things that they do that separates them from people early in their careers.
1) They focus on getting the problem solved, not on solving the problem themselves. It’s about delivering results, not about them.
2) They look for ways to scale themselves, articulating and communicating their values and principles so that others can act in alignment with their leadership even when they’re not in the room. The people in their org can answer “What would they decide here?”
3) They are exceptional at prioritization. They treat their time as extremely valuable, and don’t waste time doing lower value work that others can do or projects that will waste their time. Instead, they work on the most important thing first. Clarity, then focus.
4) They have the confidence to keep letting go, delegating their work to their team and putting themselves out of a job, so they can take on greater scope, starting over to learn something new. Risk leads to reward.
I will be sharing more insights in my 30 minute “Lightning Lesson” webinar on Friday, September 6th, offered through the Maven learning platform. I’ll also answer your questions about how successful executives get things done.

Looking forward to sharing and connecting – thanks!
