How can you be a great #teammate?
Seth Godin told a great story on Alisa Cohn’s podcast, where he walked into a room of 15 interns, and handed them each an index card. He asked them to imagine that they had been granted an opportunity to manage a $150 million dollar project, and could pick their team from their fellow interns. He asked them to write down the names of the 3 people they’d pick on their card.
Then he asked them:
1) Do you think that most of you wrote down the same names? (mostly Yes)
2) Do you think you’re one of those names? (mostly No)
3) What makes those people different that everybody wants to work with them?
4) What can you do to be more like them?
What’s your answer to question 3? And what would you do differently in response to question 4?
I’ll add my thoughts as a comment. Please add your thoughts!
