Here’s another take on my previous provocation at https://lnkd.in/gNDnXhT after thoughtful feedback from Warren Anthony and Eric Jorgensen ”
“”
“Who are you serving with your actions? And how are you serving them?”
“”
“Using examples from my previous provocation plus those from the comments:”
“”
“– The person who’s working hard but not delivering results may be focused on their own activity, not on adding value to their boss or their customers. ”
“”
“– The person thinking about a project but not executing or shipping is serving their fears and anxieties and not considering how their project could be adding value in serving others. ”
“”
“– The person taking the time to do thoughtful creative work rather than conform to their organization’s norms of activity and hours is choosing to serve their artistic vision (and those that appreciate that vision) rather than their org (but should not be surprised that the org doesn’t value that). ”
“”
“– The person shipping half-baked crap quickly because “shipping matters” in “capturing the market” is thinking about their own glory, not about adding value to their customer. ”
“”
“So how are you adding value to those you choose to serve this week?”
