I had one such moment after burning out, when I told my manager I was going to stop overworking myself, even when that meant losing my chance at promotion and getting a lower performance rating. That realization that I could choose a different path if I was willing to accept the consequences created all sorts of new possibilities. <\/p>\n<p>Sometimes transformation happens slowly and deliberately. My career transition into coaching took 3 years, as I ran experiments of increasing scale and commitment to confirm it was a good fit for me. <\/p>\n<p>I discuss these shifts and others with Dr. Wayne Pernell on the #OneSharpSword podcast linked below.
