And there&#8217;s some truth to that. But I also believe that good opportunities were always floating around, and I only noticed them when I started looking for a new job.<\/p>\n<p>A friend asked me about networking recently. I&#8217;m not an organized networker who regularly goes through all my contacts to maintain connection. But my 2023 intention is to connect with vulnerability and courage, so I&#8217;m looking for opportunities to connect. LinkedIn is great for giving excuses to do that; I&#8217;ll often send a note to say hi when I see somebody pop up here. <\/p>\n<p>For instance, I looked up a new connection recently, and one of our mutual connections was somebody I worked with 15 years ago, and hadn&#8217;t talked to in a decade. It would have been easy for me to think &#8220;oh, that&#8217;s interesting&#8221;, and move on. Instead, I sent a quick note, which led to us meeting up this week. It was great to reconnect, and potentially good for my business as well to be part of his network!<\/p>\n<p>What opportunities are you paying attention to?
